On Sunday mornings at 9:30 am, we gather in the classrooms on the lower level for Church School. Classes are separated into the following age/grades: - Preschool/Kindergarten - 1st Grade through 4th Grade - 5th Grade through 7th Grade (meets with Rev. Linda Gruber) - Young Adults (High School/College)
Each First Sunday of every month is a Holy Communion service created for Children and families with children – Sanctuary beginning at 9:30 am. Children and Youth are included in the liturgy. After the service there is a family craft that is geared toward the church service or specific time of the church year.

The first Sunday of every month during the school year, we have a special church service specified as “First Sunday Service.” The First Sunday Worship Services are an opportunity for families of children, youth, grandparents or whoever wants to come to this service…it is a time of Word and Sacrament in a more informal setting within the Sanctuary. The First Sunday service of worship is held in the Sanctuary beginning at 9:30 am until about 10:00 am. Then the children go to Gruber Hall for a group activity. As people you meet are seeking a church home, invite them to St. Johns. If they have children, especially let them know about the First Sunday Service. |

Throughout the year, we have Family Worship Service on Ash Wednesday and Maundy Thursday. The Ash Wednesday Family Service and Maundy Thursday service begin at 5:30 pm followed by a craft and plain pizza supper. |

St. John’s is blessed with two children’s choirs, the Primary Choir and the Chime Choir. The choirs perform for the congregation multiple times throughout the year including on Christmas Eve.
The Primary Choir is for children age 3 to Grade 3. The Primary choir is led by Doris Selwitz and Mary Louise Miller.
The Chime Choir is for children Grade 4 and older. The Chime Choir is led by Doris Selwitz and Kathi Woodruff. |
