March 2008 Activities
|
|
Palm Sunday: Join us as we observe Palm Sunday on Sunday, March 16st. Services are at 8:30am Holy Communion with distribution of palms and 10:45am Service of the Word with distribution of palms. Sunday School for children and adults will be from 9:30 am to 10:00 am. |

Maundy Thursday: Join us on Thursday March 20 as we observe Maundy Thursday during three services 12 noon Holy Communion; 5:30pam special family liturgy for children with Holy Communion and 7:30pm traditional service. Light pizza supper will be served at 6pm. |
|
Good Friday Tenbrae service is at 7:30pm in the Sanctuary on Friday March 21. |
|
Celebrate Easter with us!! On Sunday March 23rd, join us for Easter Sunday services to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. Services will be at 6 am in the Sanctuary; 8 am in the Sanctuary and at 10:45 am in the Sanctuary. Holy Communion will be celebrated during all Easter services. |

DON’T FORGET to check out the Craft/Bake Sale on Friday, June 6, 2008, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. here at the Church. We will need donations of baked goods. All proceeds from the baked goods will go to the church, as well as the crafts the children made. |

RELAY FOR LIFE takes place May 2nd and 3rd beginning at 6 pm on Friday the 2nd at Phoenixville High School track. We will have 3 teams again. Please visit our tent on the campgrounds. |

Join us for another exciting week ot Vacation Bible School July 14—July 18 6pm to 8:15 pm. Children ages 3 to 3rd grade are invited to attend. Check out our Vacation Bible School page for more details. |

Pentecost Sunday: Join us as we celebrate the birth of the church (Pentecost) on May 11th at 8:30am and 10:45am. Witness the confirmation of two of St. John’s youth during the 10:45 am church service with a meet and greet with the confirmands to follow. This is also the last day of Sunday School until September. |

The 2008 Garden Season begins at The St. John's United Church of Christ Organic Community Garden and Labyrinth, 412 Fairview St., Phoenixville, behind Fairview Housing. Kids, dogs and whole families are very welcome at the garden and that the labyrinth is a wonderful place for kids to explore plants and run around and have fun! |
