We
Extend an Invitation . . .
Worship at St. Johns
is formal as well as informal; liturgical and yet flows freely. Our worship
reaches back into the cherished traditions of the whole Church and also speaks the language of the contemporary heart. Our
worship offers praise to the Triune God and shapes our being as pilgrims on the
journey to feed our souls. Join us! Everyone is welcome!
St. Johns gathers for worship three times each week: Sunday
at 8:30am; 10:45am and Thursday at 6:00pm. Holy Communion is
celebrated each 8:30am Sunday service and the 6pm Thursday service. Every
First Sunday of every month, there is an additional Sunday service specifically
geared for children, youth and families of children and youth or those just
'young in heart' held in the Sanctuary.
We celebrate the birthday of the
Church on Pentecost Sunday, May 11 during both services of Holy Communion.
During the 10:45am worship, we also celebrate the Rite of Holy Confirmation
for Jonathan Anthony Nicholas Amanto and Jena Marie Naomi Verish. We invite
all worshippers to wear something red on Pentecost Sunday as a sign of joy
and celebration of the gifting of the Church through the Holy Spirit in
fresh and new ways.
For future weeks we share with you
that St. John’s will move to our summer worship schedule beginning Sunday,
June 1: 8:30am Holy Communion in Leiby Chapel and 9:30am First Sunday
service in the Sanctuary. The 6pm Thursday worship remains the same year
round.
