Registration Day is the first
Saturday in April (on years when the first Saturday is the day
before Easter, Registration Day is the second Saturday in April).
Gardeners can come to St. John's United Church of Christ at 315
Gay Street, Phoenixville, between 9:00am and 12 noon to sign the
insurance waiver form.
After signing the insurance waiver, gardeners may go to the site at Fairview and pick their plots.
GARDENERS
MUST SIGN THE INSURANCE WAIVER FORM TO RECEIVE A PLOT!
Rototiller Fee:
- A rototiller is available at
the garden site at Fairview. There is no fee. However, we do
prefer that any gardener who would like to use our tiller, that someone from
St. Johns operate the machinery. Gardeners may bring their own
rototillers if they wish; however, we cannot store them on site.
Registration Deadline:
- If you cannot come to
Registration Day, you can still sign up for a plot by
signing an insurance waiver at the church office before
June 1. Plots are not given to new gardeners after June
1.
Planting Deadline:
- All gardeners must have five
rows planted by June 1 or they forfeit their plots. On
June 2, the Garden Coordinator will give forfeited plots
to any gardener who asks for extra space.
Clean-Up Deadline:
- Nature closes the garden with
the first killing frost - usually in late October. Remove
all items (stakes, tools, tomatoes, etc.) at this time so
the farmer can plow the garden.
